Description
Locally sourced right here in Alaska, our Alaska Grass Fed Beef Tallow is rendered twice and made from 100% grass fed beef fat with no added ingredients! Can be used for cooking or as base for cosmetics.
How we produce our Beef Tallow
We begin by grinding the beef fat which will allow for better and more even rendering. We then start the rendering process by placing the ground fat into our slow processors where it will render down over the course of a few hours. After the fat has been rendered down we filter the fat which is now in a liquid form through various cheese cloths of different weave density to remove any meat and other scraps that beef fat contains. It is then placed into a large receptacle and placed in our cooler where it will stay for several days. Once the tallow has settled we then render it a second time following the same process as before, but this time when filtering we use cheese cloths of a higher weave density to insure any meat or other scraps that may have gotten through the first filtering are removed. We then pour the liquid tallow into the containers and let them sit overnight at room temperature. The next day they will be labeled, boxed, and ready to be shipped to your doorstep.
Storage: Recommended to keep refrigerated and has a shelf life of 2 years from the time it was rendered (marked on each container).
